📄 Plain English: The tool is free to use for any lawful purpose. We don't make any warranty it will work perfectly. Don't use it to do anything illegal. If something breaks, we're not liable because we can't even see what you did (no server, no logs of your files).
1. Acceptance
By using csvsplitteronline.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. License to use
We grant you a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use the Service for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. This includes:
- Processing your own CSV/TSV/Excel files
- Using the Service as part of internal business workflows
- Recommending the Service to colleagues, in articles, in documentation
You may not: reverse-engineer server-side components (there are none, so this is academic), scrape the site to rehost it under your own brand, or use the Service for any illegal purpose.
3. Your content
You retain all rights to the files you process. Because files are never uploaded to our servers, we have no possession, access, or rights over your data. You are responsible for the legality of the content you process through the Service.
4. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will process any particular file correctly. You use the Service at your own risk.
Specifically: always keep a backup of your original files before processing them. While the tools are architected to not modify originals (outputs are separate downloads), bugs are possible, and data loss due to user error is always possible too.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. This includes data loss, business interruption, loss of profits, or any other kind of harm.
6. Third-party services
The Service loads fonts from Google Fonts and may display ads from Google AdSense. Your use of those third-party services is subject to their own terms. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- Process content that is illegal in your jurisdiction
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Circumvent security measures of other systems (the tool has no security-relevant capabilities, but we're stating it explicitly)
8. Changes
We may change these Terms at any time. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of India.
